to thank them, but also to remind all of ourselves
that we’re called to be like them. We’re called to be willing to serve in
whatever way the Lord calls. We have a plethora of opportunities
to serve people in need, to serve people. who are struggling to build up the body
of Christ, to share the good news. And these women are examples for us. It’s a great joy and privilege to be able
to congratulate these women as they continue to model the good life of faith for us here in the Diocese of Orange.” - Bishop Timothy Freyer.
Last Friday, our community was uplifted by incredible stories and wisdom shared at the 2024 Inspirational Catholic Women Event. From stories of faith and resilience to acts of compassion and leadership, these remarkable women inspired us to live in the steps of our blessed Mother Mary. Catholic Charities of Orange County had the great pleasure of working with radio show host, Peggy Normandin, from OC Catholic Radio. She hosted the show "Call Me Catholic," which celebrated and explored our Catholic identity in the modern world.
Peggy lent us her beautiful voice for the narration of upcoming videos for CCOC and the 2024 ICW event.

Bishop Timothy E. Freyer took time out of his busy schedule Friday to congratulate the upcoming Inspirational Catholic Women of 2024, and to acknowledge the positive work of Catholic Charities.
Bishop Freyer expressed his heartfelt gratitude and commended CCOC`s tireless efforts in providing essential services, such as food distribution and assistance to the community. We appreciate the support! @bishopfreyer 🙏

Last Wednesday The Knights of Columbus, Queen of Angels Council made a gracious donation of $1,025 to our Cantlay Food Distribution Center. We are blessed to receive this support to positively impact lives in our community and help many impoverished families in Orange County. We thank our Knights for believing in our mission to provide help, create hope and serve all.

The Inspirational Catholic Women annual event is coming up on May 10th. The Catholic Charities Auxiliary invites you to honor women in the Diocese who positively impact the community and selflessly help those around them.
In this video, ICW Chairwoman Karen Castro speaks about the event and the importance of honoring these women.
